Who or what is ‘WildExpeds’
WildExpeds Ltd is a limited company with the goal of bringing adventure to the lives of anyone with the desire to explore and experience the rich landscape of Ireland. We offer tailor made hikes, paddles, multi-day expeditions and skills courses to all abilities and skill levels.
Started by the company director, Declan Hoyt, WildExpeds uses only qualified and experienced guides with the philosophy that expertise and experience can nurture and enhance an individuals experience in the outdoors. We know all the spots, all the tricks, all the lore and we want to share it with you!
About the Director
Declan started WildExpeds after a long career in the outdoors as an instructor, working with all ages and abilities. After beginning his working life as a qualified chef, Declan changed things up when he switched career paths into the outdoors. Retraining as an outdoors professional he never looked back, graduating with First Class Honours from the University of Ulster in Outdoor Adventure Sport.
His other outdoor qualifications include; Mountain Leader, Climbing Wall Instructor, Paddlesports Leader, Mountain Bike Instructor, BCAB Paddlesports Coach Level 3, Wilderness First Aid and Leave No Trace trainer.
Declan has a wide range of experience leading and joining expeditions on land and water in North America, French Alps, Germany, Canary Islands, the Caucus Mountains, Australian Outback, the UK and Ireland.
